The Cape Cod Blue Economy Foundation, Inc. was created as a non-profit to develop funds to implement the Cape Cod Blue Economy Project (now Expedition Blue) Implementation and Action Plan. This report was developed over the course of a year with multiple stakeholder and community input sessions and covers a geographic area defined as the towns on Cape Cod proper (over the bridge)(Barnstable County), the towns on the island of Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket as well as southern Plymouth County. This report was commissioned by the Cape Cod Blue Economy Project, an initiative of the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce funded by the Massachusetts Seaport Economic Council, to examine the region’s water-based economy and to propose actions that will advance it.
