Commerce on the Cape Cod Canal

People have been trading goods with each other around here for hundreds of years. The Pilgrims built the Aptuxcet Trading Post to engage in commerce with the Wampanoag and the Dutch, using a nearby river as transportation. Today, trade continues: the Cape Cod Canal hums with commercial traffic, including enormous tankers and freighters traveling both north and south.
