Sharing is caring! In Falmouth Inner Harbor, pleasure craft, island ferries, and charter boats share the water with the Harbor Master and U.S. Fish and Wildlife vessels. The human-made channel, dug over a hundred years ago, slowly fills with sand; workers use a dredge, a giant vacuum that sucks up sand, to maintain a safe depth for boats.
